Feline colonies and TNR programs
Frequent Questions & Answers
Is Meow Metrics free for volunteers?

Yes: the free account (“free user”) for one person, with their data kept private.
The platform’s client is the municipality, provincial authority, or public body responsible for managing the TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) program.
I’m part of an association or foundation and manage many feline colonies. Can I use Meow Metrics?

Yes. Meow Metrics is also used by associations and foundations.
In these cases, we recommend contacting us so we can review your specific situation and agree on an adapted pricing model.
I only have a mobile phone. Can I use Meow Metrics on my phone?

Yes: it is an installable web application (PWA), adaptable to any screen size and accessible from any device with internet access.
Is there a limit to the number of colonies or cats I can register?

No. There is no limit on the number of colonies or cats.
You can register all those you manage within your area of activity.
I am an individual caregiver. Can I use Meow Metrics?

Yes: the free account (“free user”) for one person, with their data kept private.

I’d love to use Meow Metrics in my municipality. How can I do that?

Great!
Contact us through the contact form and we’ll coordinate with you to arrange a meeting with your municipality and present the solution appropriately.
I’d love to use Meow Metrics, but my municipality is not interested

We understand—this is a common situation.
Our team has extensive experience working with public officials, including municipal technical staff, councilors, and mayors. We help them understand why the TNR program is the best solution and how Meow Metrics allows them to save time, costs, and effort.
Contact us through the form and we’ll review your case to provide your municipality with the support it needs.
We are a very small municipality and the local government says there is no budget

The price is presented after a demo and depends on the population and on the modules. Whenever there is a will to improve municipal TNR management, we at Meow Metrics do everything we can to make it possible.
In my municipality, some people do not speak Spanish well. Is that a problem?

Not at all.
Meow Metrics is available in 12 languages: Spanish, Catalan, Galician, Basque, Valencian, Aragonese, English, German, Italian, French, Arabic, and Korean. Language is not a barrier to using the platform.
There is no mobile coverage where I manage colonies. Will it work?

Yes.
Meow Metrics works even without an internet connection. You can enter data normally, and it will automatically sync with the platform once connectivity is restored.
In my municipality there are several caregivers, but many are older

We completely understand.
Meow Metrics has been designed to be very simple, intuitive, and accessible, suitable for people with any level of technological experience. Our goal is that anyone can use it easily from day one.
There are many of us, and not everyone is comfortable with technology

That’s not a problem.
In addition to the tool itself, we offer training and ongoing support. We travel throughout Spain to deliver platform onboarding sessions and specific training on TNR program management, tailored to the level and needs of each group.
Do you really have experience in TNR management?

Yes. A lot.
The Meow Metrics team includes people who have been—and still are—volunteers, colony caregivers, and foster caregivers, which means the platform is built from real-life experience and everyday needs.
We also bring together complementary professional profiles, including:
Biology
Forestry engineering
Software development
Public administration (including a former public health councilor)
We have worked closely with veterinarians, associations, and municipal technical staff, allowing us to understand both municipal needs and those of volunteers.
That’s why Meow Metrics is not just an application: it is a practical, effective tool based on technical and scientific criteria, designed to facilitate work and professionalize TNR management.
